His career spans national laboratories, government research programs, and industry, including senior engineering and applied science roles at Amazon, where he worked on large-scale AI systems.

With a strong foundation in physics, astrophysics, and energy science, Jay Jay is known for bridging rigorous scientific research with practical, real-world applications. He is also an active open-source leader, serving on the Eclipse Foundation Architecture Council and contributing to tools that advance scientific computing, interoperability, and sustainable technology development.
